F1 2022 Driver Standings: Max Verstappen Starts Chasing Carles Leclerc

JAKARTA - Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen is starting to get up. He began chasing Ferrari's Carles Leclrec in the 2022 Formula 1 (F1) standings.

Currently, Max Verstappen has risen to second place in the standings with 59 points. This is thanks to the victory in the F1 GP Emilia Romagna, Italy, Sunday, April 24.

Max Verstappen is now 27 points adrift of Leclerc, who is still at the top of the 2022 F1 standings. In addition, the Dutch driver has also replaced his teammate, Sergio Perez, who is now in third place with 54 points.

Lewis Hamilton got bad results again. The Mercedes GP driver is now in seventh place with 28 points after only finishing 13th in the race at the Imola Circuit.

He even lost flashy from his teammate, George Russell who perched in the fourth position. Finishing fourth in the F1 GP Emilia Romagna makes the British driver now collect 48 points.
