Kamaru Usman Gives Way To Conor McGregor For A Title Duel, But There Are Conditions

JAKARTA - The UFC welterweight division is arguably the most attractive and competitive division in Dana White's entire organization. Kamaru Usman is the absolute king but they still have so many great fighters who can chase his money at any moment.

Conor McGregor has recovered from his leg injury and put on some weight to try and make UFC history. He has already won belts in two different divisions. Now he wants to be the first to win the championship in three different divisions.

The fact that The Notorious is the biggest money draw in the entire UFC does come with a few advantages. Kamaru Usman recently appeared on TMZ talking about the Irish fighter's chances for the title.

As it happens, Usman is set to take on Leon Edwards and a win would open up room for others to fight him in the welterweight division.

Dana White has been trying to get Conor a new fight to return to the UFC. And he thought about Nate Diaz's final fight for the sensational fourth duel between two legends.

If McGregor wins this one, Usman has already given his blessing to fight for the title. Just one win in the welterweight division to fight for the title, that's one of the advantages McGregor has for being the biggest money draw in the entire UFC.

In his latest interview on TMZ, this is what Usman had to say. "If this little Irish man wins, he'll get the next title," he said.

Although almost impossible, what Usman's agent Ali Abdelaziz offered seemed like an enjoyable evening for everyone. A four-man welterweight tournament that will have two semifinals and a grand final.

"Kamaru Usman vs. Leon Edwards and Conor vs. Nate, this is a four-man tournament," tweeted Abdelaziz.

But Dana White might disagree with events like this because of how much pain all four fighters have in their first fight. The UFC has always had to put the welfare of its fighters first before putting on an exciting show.

If you asked McGregor or Usman, they would probably agree. Only, it wasn't them who made the decisions, it was Dana White.
