JAKARTA - The Indonesian Futsal National Team will face Myanmar in the 2022 AFF Cup semifinals. The second match will take place on Friday, April 8, at Hua Mark Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand, starting at 14.30 p.m. Indonesian Western Time (WIB).

Ahead of this match, the Indonesian national team continues to finalize preparations. The Red and White Team will be wary of Myanmar's aggressiveness in the match later.

"Myanmar has good aggressiveness, especially in defense. Their players don't want to lose in a duel," said the assistant coach of the Indonesian futsal team, Sayan Karmadi, as reported by Antara.

According to the tactician who brought the Black Steel club Manokwari Papua to the 2016 Indonesian Futsal Professional League (PFL) champion, Myanmar's quality as a team continues to grow. This was evidenced by their exit as winners of Group B, even though there were tough squads, namely Vietnam and Australia.

The achievement was a surprise.

"The Myanmar players this time are different, better in quality than when we met last time," he said.

However, Sayan made sure that his foster children were ready to compete and conquer their opponents. Their motivation is multiplied because a win will bring Indonesia to qualify for the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup in Kuwait.

"Tomorrow's match is not easy because all the teams in the semifinals have something to watch out for. However, we are ready," said Sayan.

The Indonesian futsal national team advanced to the semifinals of the 2022 AFF Futsal Cup as the second place in Group A. The leader of this group is Thailand.

Meanwhile, Myanmar won Group B, where they drew with Vietnam 1-1 and beat Australia 6-1.
