Showing Less Than Optimal In Argentina, Bastianini Is Expected To Make Indonesia Proud In The American MotoGP

JAKARTA - Gresini Racing MotoGP racer, Enea Bastianini performed less than optimally at the Argentine GP, Sunday local time and only finished in tenth position so that it is hoped that Indonesia can make Indonesia proud in the next race at the American GP.

By finishing tenth, Enea only got six points so that the top position for the two series she held had to be released. The Italian rider is currently in third position with 36 points. Above him are Brad Binder of KTM with 38 points and Aleix Espargaro of Aprilia Racing with 45 points.

What was achieved by the racers who received a lot of support from Indonesian brands such as Federal Oil and Wonderful Indonesia was not without reason. Enea judged that the vehicle was not comfortable enough to lose the feeling.

"We don't understand this race very well. I have speed, but often get stuck. If this week's race went on as usual, there might be other options, but the reality is very different. We had a lot of problems with the rear of the bike. At least we could score a few points, so We have to think positively and be ready to race in Texas.” said Enea quoted from Antara, Monday.

Less than optimal results were also experienced by Enea's teammate, Fabio Di Giannantonio. This MotoGP debutant experienced an incident at the end of the race. Luckily there was no injury and only pain in the stomach.

"It's just a scratch and got hit in the stomach without any worries. Actually we wanted a different result and a normal race, but now we have to keep improving ourselves." he said.

Meanwhile, Federal Oil Brand General Manager PT ExxonMobil Lubricants Indonesia (PT EMLI) Hasril Arsyad as the sponsor continues to appreciate what the Gresini Racing MotoGP team has done. His party also understands the conditions on the ground, including the logistical delays for the Argentine Grand Prix.

“Enea Bastianini and Fabio Di Giannantonio of course did not expect bad results, but this is still a record at the start of the season. At least Enea can still add important points in the standings. Luckily Fabio was not injured after the incident.

"The next race is in the American MotoGP, which has a very different track and we hope they can get up soon and make Indonesia proud," said Hasril Arsyad.

According to the schedule, the American MotoGP will be held at the Circuit of the America (COTA), April 10. Enea and Diggia are expected to add points and improve their position in the standings. Currently Enea is in third position with 36 points and Diggia still has not picked up points.
