Repsol Honda Manager Alberto Puig: When Will Marc Marquez Return? It's So Hard To Say

JAKARTA - Repsol Honda Manager, Alberto Puig, commented on the condition of Marc Marquez who had to be absent from the Argentine MotoGP due to diplopia problems. He said The Baby Alien was disappointed but optimistic.

Puig realized that Marc Marquez's accident during the Mandalika MotoGP warm-up session, 20 March, was terrible. He considered, the rider was lucky because the impact or injury suffered was not worse than last season.

"At the moment, we are quite optimistic but also realistic, to think the recovery period will be faster than before," said Puig in an interview with MotoGP.

"When? It's really hard to say. You know, with vision problems, it's very complicated. But we'd like to think the recovery will be quicker."

The former Honda-Pons racer admits that Marc Marquez is very disappointed at this time. The reason, Repsol Honda started the season badly.

Puig said his party thought they could achieve good results at the Mandalika Circuit. However, something went wrong and it all fell apart.

"In Indonesia we thought we could race well there, but then something went wrong. Unfortunately this is what happened," said Puig.

"He had a few accidents and he was disappointed. You know Marc, he is an optimistic person. Now he is thinking of ways to speed up his recovery," continued the manager.

According to Puig, the accident experienced by Marc Marquez at the Mandalika Circuit was very strange and brutal. However, he tried to think positively that the driver would be fine.
