JAKARTA – Aprilia Racing's Aleix Espargaro told his story of flying for 30 hours to arrive in Lombok ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP race, March 18-20. He arrived in Indonesia from Andorra.

Shortly after arriving in Lombok, Espargaro headed straight for the Mandalika Circuit to join his colleagues. He also took the time to pose with his motorbike.

"Good morning Indonesia, very happy to arrive in Lombok after traveling almost 30 hours from Andorra," the 32-year-old Spaniard wrote in the caption for the upload, Tuesday, March 15.

Even though he traveled a long way, Aleix didn't seem to feel jetlagged and went straight to his usual activities on his second day in West Nusa Tenggara. In his latest upload on Instagram Story, he shows off cycling activities around the surrounding area.

Cycling activities may be a favorite of this Granollers-born racer. When he came to Mandalika for a pre-season test last February, he also diligently shared the same activity on social media.

Aleix Espargaro was not included in the group of 20 racers who took part in the parade in Jakarta. For that, he immediately flew to Lombok to finalize his preparations for the Mandalika MotoGP.

The brother of the Honda rider, Pol Espargar, came to Mandalika with satisfactory results in the previous race. He managed to finish the first race series in Qatar, March 6, in fourth place with a time gap of 2.242 seconds from Enea Bastianini who came out as the winner.

In addition to good capital from Qatar, he also has a good record at Mandalika in yesterday's pre-season test. Aleix Espargaro was noted to be in second place on the first day of testing and was in third place on the last day.
