JAKARTA - Torino failed to win when they hosted Inter Milan in the continuation of the Italian Serie A, Monday, March 14, early morning Indonesian Western Time (WIB). The two teams drew 1-1.

Torino took the lead in the 12th minute through Gleison Bremer's goal. The 1-0 advantage lasted until the 90th minute.

However, disaster occurred in the extra time of the second half. Receiving feedback from Edin Dzeko, Alexis Sanchez managed to break into Etrit Berisha's goal and change the position to 1-1 in the 93rd minute!

After the game, Torino was very disappointed. Not only because they conceded near the end of the match, but also the controversy in the 37th minute.

At that time, Inter Milan defender, Andrea Ranocchia, clearly seen violating Torino captain, Andrea Belotti, in the forbidden box. However, the referee did not give a penalty for the host.

"It's impossible if he doesn't see it as a penalty," said Torino director Davide Vagnati, as quoted by Football Italia from DAZN.

"I underline, we always have a lot of respect for the referee and those who have to make this decision, because of that there was an objective error tonight. This is not subjective," he continued.

The video assistant referee (VAR) was also questioned by Torino.

"In fact, there were two clear mistakes, because the referee didn't award the penalty in real time, but then VAR didn't recommend a review on the pitch either," Vagnati said.

"I honestly couldn't understand it, I approached the referee at half-time and said it was a penalty but he replied that if VAR didn't call him, obviously I made the right decision."

Referee observer, Luca Marelli, also questioned the referee and also VAR. He considered, the decision was clearly very wrong.

"It's a clear penalty and I was really expecting a review on the pitch," he said.
