Everton Vs Boreham Wood 2-0: Frank Lampard's Team Meet Crystal Palace In FA Cup Quarter-finals

JAKARTA - Everton versus Boreham Wood in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Friday, 4 March western Indonesia time, did not create a surprise. Everton managed to beat his guests with a score of 2-0.

Everton's goal in the match which took place at Goodison Park was presented by Salomon Rondon. He found the net for Boreham in the 57th and 84th minutes.

The Toffees manager, Frank Lampard, certainly welcomed the success of his team advancing to the FA Cup quarter-finals. He said the FA Cup is a magical competition.

"The club has a lot of history in it, so I'm really excited to be involved, and so are the players," Lampard told the club's official website after the match.

In the quarter-finals, Everton will be waiting for another Premier League club, Crystal Palace. Lampard and his squad looked impatient for the match which took place on March 20.

"Every player wants to play a big game and Crystal Palace will be a big game with what both teams have at stake," said Lampard.

Meanwhile, the defeat to Everton not only knocked out Boreham. Their sweet record throughout the FA Cup this season was tarnished.

Rondon's goal made Boreham's record 500 minutes without conceding in the FA Cup this season come to an end. Yes, since the 2021/2022 FA Cup began, the fifth caste club has never conceded a goal!

Boreham manager, Luke Garrard, was not disappointed even though he lost. He actually saluted the struggle of his team in making it difficult for Everton to qualify for the next round.

"The players left everything on the pitch. We worked very hard, but against the residents of the Premier League. We showed what this team has done is fantastic," he said.
