Dillian Whyte And Tyson Fury Sign Contracts For Next April Duel

JAKARTA – Heavyweight boxers Dillian Whyte and Tyson Fury agreed to enter the ring to win the World Boxing Council (WBC) title. They had signed their contract for the battle plan.

The signed contract has already been submitted to the WBC ahead of the deadline for Fury and Whyte to reach an agreement. The two are likely to fight at Wembley in the nearest April.

"Wherever they want a fight, whenever they want a fight, I don't care. I've been trying to fight him for a long time. I've been ready to fight with him for a long time," Whyte was quoted as saying by Sky Sport.

Whyte currently holds the interim WBC title following his win in a rematch against Alexander Povetkin in March last year. He will challenge Fury for the right to become the WBC heavyweight champion.

While Fury defended the WBC belt after making Deontay Wilder knockout (KO) in the 11th round in October last year. It became the peak of his career as well as a trilogy victory for the 33-year-old boxer.

The winner of the Fury versus Whyte fight will have an undisputed world title fight this year. One of them will fight Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua.

Usyk will face Joshua to defend his WBA, IBF and WBO world belts.

Currently Fury is also trying to fight with UFC star Francis Ngannou in the boxing ring. However, this big battle is likely to be realized next year.

Ngannou also really wanted the duel to be realized. Moreover, the world of boxing was a dream from his childhood before he changed his direction to pursue mixed martial arts (MMA) fights.
