JAKARTA - Heavy equipment belonging to PT. The Housing Development (PP) has arrived at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, Saturday and will then be used to exfoliate the track surface and simultaneously will also set up the Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP) while waiting for the rest of the equipment to arrive.

"We are moving quickly so that the repair of the circuit track is according to a predetermined schedule. Thank God most of the heavy equipment has arrived and the repair work process can start immediately", said the Managing Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), Priandhi Satria, in a written statement, Saturday.

Priandhi emphasized that the track repair process is expected to be completed on March 10, according to the set target. In addition to heavy equipment, PT PP has ensured the readiness of raw materials for asphalting.

"The team from PT PP, which is in Palu and accompanied by consultants, has ensured the quality of the raw materials and ensured the loading of raw materials onto the ship which will be sent soon to be used as a new asphalt layer", said Priandhi.

Previously, President Director of PT PP, Novel Arsyad, assured that his party was committed to making the Mandalika Circuit track meet race safety and security standards and complete work on time.

"Technology, methods, materials, and work equipment also use the best specifications according to FIM standards. We will peel off the top layer of asphalt of approximately 4 centimeters thick and immediately re-pave it", said Novel.

Paving is carried out in the segment of bend 16.5 which leads to a straight track along 507 meters, to bend 5.5 which leads to bends 6, 7, 8, and 9.
