Calf Injury, Chiellini Only Returned When Juventus Faced Spezia On March 6

Quoted from Italian Football, Wednesday, February 9, Juventus has given an official statement that currently Chiellini has undergone a radiology scan at J Medical.

The results of the scan showed the condition of the inner muscle of Chiellini's left calf. Media in Italy believe the 37-year-old player should be out for 20 days.

"Giorgio Chiellini underwent a radiological scan at J Medical today, which revealed a low-grade lesion of the inner muscle of the left calf," read a Juventus statement.

In the match against Hellas Verona last weekend, Chiellini played as a starter. However, he was forced to withdraw from the field in the 75th minute due to an injury.

In the aftermath of this injury, Chiellini is certain to miss the Coppa Italia quarter-finals tomorrow Thursday when Juventus face Sassuolo.

In addition, Chiellini will also miss several Juventus matches in the Italian League against Atalanta, Torino and Empoli. Chiellini is also predicted to be sidelined when Juventus play in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 against Villarreal in Spain on February 22, 2022.
