JAKARTA - The Executive Board of the All-Indonesian Swimming Association (PB PRSI) will send representatives to face two major multi-events this year, namely the 2022 SEA Games and 2022 Asian Games. As preparation, they summoned 16 swimmers, both male and female, to take part in the National Training Center or national training.
Deputy PB PRSI for Development and Achievement, Reswanda said it was possible that the number of athletes who entered the National Training would continue to grow. This was done as an optimal effort to prepare to appear in the two major multi-events later.
"Currently, we have started with 16 swimmers, it is likely that the number will increase in the next few weeks," said Reswanda as quoted from an official statement received by VOI, Monday, February 7.
“The most important thing is that we can start the national training since February which has many benefits before competing in the SEA Games. There are 14 weeks left and this has to be optimized."
The implementation of the National Training which has started in February is also inseparable from the efforts of the Head of PB PRSI who continues to establish communication with the Menpora, Zainudin Amali.
“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the efforts made by the PRSI Ketum PB directly in contact with the Menpora and his staff, we were given the opportunity to make a presentation in detail, what we have done and will be done later. And the response from the Ministry of Youth and Sports is very good so that the national swimming training can start on February 3," said Reswanda.
