JAKARTA - Putri Candrawathi's lawyer, Patra M Zen, continues to insist on defending her client. In almost every television talk show, he always makes strong arguments regarding the harassment case that happened to the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

In fact, from the beginning the public had felt the irregularity in the case of sexual harassment by Brigadier J against Putri, causing Brigadier J's life to be lost.

Is that the same as Brigadier J? Entered his boss' private room and abused his wife while she was asleep. Intentionally entered or invited in? Moreover, as a victim of abuse, Putri seemed not to dare to appear because it was reported that she was depressed and had to bring in a psychologist.

It was noted that since the death of Brigadier J at the official residence of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo on July 8, 2022, only once has Putri appeared in public when visiting her husband at the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters.

However, Patra seemed to ignore it. He focused more on speaking out for the police to immediately process Putri's report as a victim of abuse.

“If a general's wife reports being a victim of sexual violence, the process is not taken seriously. Can you imagine if a farmer's wife is a poor man's wife? That's why we ask for it to be processed properly," said Patra in a loud voice in an event on Metro TV on Friday (5/8).

In the event, which was initiated by Hotman Paris, Patra even had a heated argument with the family lawyer, Brigadier J.

But now, the situation has changed 180 degrees. At least after the special police team investigating the murder case of Brigadier J decided not to continue the case of alleged sexual harassment that Putri had reported one day after Brigadier J's death on July 9, 2022.

"No criminal incident was found. This is only part of an effort to prevent the disclosure of case 340 (premeditated murder)," said the Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Department, Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi at a press conference at the National Police Headquarters, Friday (12/8).

Patra has now softened. In fact, in a TV show, he admitted that he had been lied to by Princess Candrawati.

“I was given wrong information. If the language now, I got pranked. I was lied to because there was no sexual harassment in Duren Tiga,” said Patra at an event on Kompas TV on Thursday (18/8).

According to Patra, since becoming Putri's lawyer, he has never communicated directly with Putri. "How are we going to talk? He looks very traumatized. We go there he always cries."

What makes him believe is only the data from Putri's psychological analysis and the police report about alleged sexual harassment. Moreover, at that time, said Patra, the case had reached the investigation stage.

"After reading the file, I didn't ask again because I already believed it at the time," said Patra.

Now, the client who had been defended to the full by Patra is facing a new case related to false reports and his involvement in the murder of Brigadier J.

Princess Candrawati becomes a suspect

The National Police special team on Friday (19/8) named Putri Candrawathi as a suspect in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.

"Investigators have carried out an in-depth examination with scientific crime investigation, including with existing evidence and a case has been carried out, the investigators have named PC sister (Putri Candrawathi) as a suspect," said Irwasum Polri, Komjen Agung Budi Maryoto at a press conference at the National Police Headquarters. , Friday (19/8).

This means that up to now, there are five suspects in the case, namely Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer (Bharada E), Bripka Ricky Rizal, an ART Ferdy Sambo named Strong Ma'ruf, and Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Candrawathi.

Dirtipidum Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Andri Rian Djajadi, said investigators had conducted direct examination of Putri Candrawati three times. And, holding a case without the presence of Putri because she was sick and had to rest for 7 days.

So far, there have been two pieces of evidence against Putri. Witness testimony and electronic evidence in the form of CCTV, both in Saguling (Ferdy Sambo's private house) and those near the crime scene.

“Alhamdulillah, we have found a very vital CCTV that describes the situation before, during and after the incident in Duren Tiga. Including the DVR at the security post," said Andri Rian on the same occasion.

This is part of the circumstencial evidence or indirect evidence which is an indication that Putri was at the location from Saguling to Duren Tiga. Putri carried out planning activities for the assassination of Brigadier J.

Dozens of Members Dragged

In addition to naming Putri Candrawati as a suspect, a special team from the National Police is also conducting a special examination of 83 members of the National Police. As many as 35 of them have received recommendations for special placements, but only 18 people have been placed specifically.

“18 is reduced by three, namely FS, RR, and RE because they have become suspects. So, only 15 have been assigned (special placements)," said Irwasum Polri Komjen Agung Budi Maryoto.

Of the 15 people, investigators based on the results of an in-depth examination, stated that 6 of them were suspected of having committed the crime of obstruction of justice, obstructing the investigation.

"The names are of course one FS, the second BJP (Brigjen Pol) AK, the third AKBP ANT, the fourth AKBP AR, the fifth Kompol BW, the six Kompol CP. If it's FS, of course. We will hand over the five that have been assigned to investigators in the near future, technically, the investigators will explain their suspicions. Therefore, further investigations will be carried out later,” explained Komjen Agung.

So far, investigators have examined 52 witnesses including experts on DNA, ballistics, metallurgy, forensic medicine experts, including digital analysts and Inafis.

The Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri has also examined 16 witnesses in the case of removing and transferring, as well as transmitting evidence at the crime scene.

Four pieces of evidence were confiscated: a WD brand external hard disk; tablet; CCTV DVR in Duren Tiga; BW brother's Dell brand laptop.

"That number is likely to continue to grow. The suspected articles are Article 32 and Article 33 of the ITE Law, the threats are quite high, Article 221, 223 of the Criminal Code, and 55 articles 56 of the Criminal Code," he said on the same occasion.

Currently, the case files for the four previous suspects, FS, RR, RE, and KM, have been transferred to the prosecutor's office or stage 1 so that the public prosecutor can study it.
