Dilarang Narik Saat Arus Mudik, 575 Kusir Delman Di Garut Dapat Kompensasi Rp3 Juta Dari Pemprov Jabar

A total of 575 wagon coaches and four pedicab drivers operating on the homecoming route in the Garut Regency area received compensation of Rp. 3 million each from the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Java (Jabar) as a substitute for the ban on operating during the Eid homecoming flow.

"Anyway (it is prohibited from operating) during the homecoming flow and backflow on the homecoming route, a total of 575 andongs, four rickshaws," said West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi after symbolically handing over compensation to the wagon coach at the Garut Police Headquarters, Thursday, March 20, as reported by ANTARA.

The West Java Provincial Government is currently providing compensation to the people who have been working as pedicab drivers and wagon coachmen as a substitute for not operating during the homecoming and backflows of Lebaran.

During their daily work, he said, the government provided compensation to them in the amount of Rp. 3 million per person given in two stages.

"One person gets a stimulus of Rp. 3 million rupiah, two days before Eid will enter one and a half (million), and after Lebaran one and a half (million rupiah)," said Dedi Mulyadi.

He conveyed that those who have received replacement money can carry out other work activities at their homes and do not work on the road which can disrupt the smooth flow of vehicle traffic.

The prohibition policy, he said, was to provide convenience for travelers and officers in carrying out their duties to regulate the flow of vehicle traffic during the Lebaran homecoming season.

"With them working at home, not working on the road, it eases the work of officers, police work," said Dedi Mulyadi.

The governor said that the provision of compensation was not only in Garut, but also in other areas, all of which were recorded at 1,105 people with the same amount receiving compensation of Rp. 3 million.

The policy of providing compensation, he said, would certainly provide benefits and comfort for all parties, both for beneficiaries, travelers, and security officers on the homecoming route such as the Garut, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, and Kuningan areas.

"The flow of homecoming that passes through the Garut area, the Tasik area, the Kuningan area, the Cirebon area is smooth, with that everyone is secured," said the Governor of West Java.
