700 Tons Of Garbage Sent Accused From Bali Beach, 500 Officers Standby On New Year's Eve

BADUNG - Environmental Service Officers (DLHK) of Badung Regency, Bali, alerted 500 cleaning personnel and a number of heavy equipment ahead of the New Year's Eve 2024-2025.

The reason is, until now garbage along the coast in Badung Regency, Bali, is still arriving, such as at Kuta Beach and at Jimbaran Beach.

"This means that garbage continues to arrive, not just plastic waste, all waste also continues (to come) because of the influence of rain too. Yes, it is still arriving, such as at Jimbaran Beach and Kuta," said Made Gede Dwipayana, Coordinator for Marine Waste Evacuation Detection (Desalut) DLHK Badung, Monday, December 30.

"We have deployed approximately 500 personnel along the coast. And maybe the most in the Kuta area, around a hundred more people are on standby," he added.

In addition, his party noted that almost a month there were about 700 tons of garbage shipments that had been transported.

Garbage sent from November 28 to Sunday (29/12) yesterday along the coast in the Badung area, Bali.

"If we calculate the mixture (garbage), we will transport it, which has been evacuated by around 700 tons and all from the west coast. It was from November 28 until yesterday, almost a month," he added.

The garbage transported along the west coast is dominated by organic waste and the rest is plastic waste.
