Elected Gubernatorial Candidate Sherly Tjoanda Meet Khofifah

SuRABAYA - Candidate for governor of North Maluku (Malut) elected Sherly Tjoanda Laos learned the success of Khofifah Indar Parawansa in leading East Java by conducting a friendship with Surabaya.

"I, as the elected governor of the first woman from North Maluku, came to meet Mbak Khofifah as the first female governor of East Java, and even this time she was already in the second period, so I want to learn a lot from her," said Sherly at the residence of Khofifah as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 10.

Even since the North Maluku Pilkada process, Sherly has always listened to Khofifah's appearance in the East Java Pilkada debate to learn. Especially the way of conveying opinion and also Khofifah's public speaking which according to him is very inspiring.

"There are many things that I want to learn from him, especially how he successfully ruled East Java and I hope to also successfully lead North Maluku in the future," he said.

In the close discussion of the two elected governor figures in Indonesia, Khofifah had mentioned that the key to success in leadership is synergy and collaboration.

Mbak Khofifah said earlier about superteam. "That what is needed is neither superwoman nor superman but superteam," he said.

Not only that, in this discussion Khofifah and Sherly also discussed the potential for cooperation between North Java and North Maluku in the future.

One of them is a trade mission program that is under the leadership of Khofifah for the first period every month. In the future, the East Java and North Maluku Trade Mission programs will be strengthened.

"In addition, we also saw superior agricultural products in East Java, jumbo pineapple from Jember. Later, after being inaugurated, we will send a team to learn a lot from East Java," he said.

Meanwhile, Khofifah expressed her gratitude to Sherly Tjoanda Laos and the family who are pleased to stay in touch directly to her residence. According to him, this is the beginning of good synergy and collaboration between East Java and North Maluku.

The synergy and collaboration process is needed in many sectors. We really need synergy and collaboration for provinces in Indonesia. And I think East Java can be used as a place to build any party sector. It can be education, health and agriculture, that's extraordinary," he said.

He hopes that in the future North Maluku can send a team to study in East Java according to their talents and interests, and be adjusted to the potential that can be developed in each region.

"There is Ternate, Tidore, there is Halmahera whose soil contours must be different. And there is also very cool potential flamboyant. There are many beautiful things there that may be developed in East Java according to the potential that can be done by East Java. So this synergy and collaboration must be built," said Khofifah.
