Vote Manipulation In Muara Enim Regional Election, OC Kaligis Calls Nasrun Umar-Lia Paslon Rugikan

JAKARTA Senior lawyer OttoOK Kaligis (OC Kaligis) accused the vote of vote manipulation in the 2024 Muara Enim Regency Pilkada which allegedly harmed candidate pairs (paslon) Nasrun Umar and Lia Anggraini (Nasrun Umar-Lia).

As the couple's attorney, OC Kaligis revealed that fraud occurred in a number of polling stations (TPS) involving white vote data (golput).

"I came to Muara Enim on December 2, 2024 to meet with Bawaslu, KPU, and law enforcement officials. We found indications of violations and manipulation of vote calculations in the Muara Enim Pilkada," said OC Kaligis, Friday, December 6.

OC Kaligis said that the TPS indicated manipulation included polling stations 01, polling stations 02, and polling stations 03 in Banu Ayu Village, Empat Petulai Dangku District, as well as Polling Station 901 and Polling Station 902 in Muara Enim Prison.

"In the Forkopimda recapitulation, it was found that the Golput data was different from Bawaslu's records. This is proof of clear manipulation that harms our clients as Gerindra Party cadres," he said.

According to him, the fraud not only harmed the Nasrun Umar-Lia pair directly but also tarnished the integrity of election organizers in Muara Enim Regency.

"The Pilkada process should be honest and professional. However, these irresponsible actions actually show the abuse of the organizers, especially the KPU of Muara Enim Regency," he said.

OC Kaligis has reported the alleged manipulation of this vote to the Muara Enim Regency Bawaslu through Report Number 002/PL/PB/KAB/06.08/XI/2024. In the report, his party also attached letter No. 1004/OCK.XII/2024 containing a request to follow up on the alleged violation.

One of the events highlighted was the power outage incident that occurred during the vote count on Wednesday (27/12). According to OC Kaligis, at that time the Nasrun Umar-Lia pair, which was serial number 3, was around 10 percent superior to pair number 2.

When pair number 3 was ahead, suddenly the vote count was stopped due to the blackout twice. After the lights came back on, the number 3 pair's votes dropped drastically, and pair number 2 took the lead," he said.

OC Kaligis urged the authorities to immediately thoroughly investigate this alleged fraud in order to maintain justice and integrity of the Regional Head Election of Muara Enim Regency.
