Seven Buildings In Klender Burnt Out

A total of seven buildings in South Agricultural Village RT 07/RW 03, Klender Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Sunday afternoon, were burned down.

"A total of seven buildings were burned down, consisting of five residents' houses, one repair shop unit and one shop unit," said Head of the Operations Section of the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed in Jakarta. The fire incident that occurred at around 14:18 WIB was suspected to be due to a short circuit or an electrical short circuit in the repair shop.

"The fire started from the workshop, then spread to the house beside it and other buildings," said Gatot.

Gulkarmat East Jakarta deployed 18 fire engines with 85 personnel to extinguish the red rooster.

There were no casualties in the incident, but the loss was estimated at Rp800 million.

"As many as 10 families (KK) were saved with 30 people. The blackout was completed at 15.50 WIB," he said. Meanwhile, in another location, there was also a fire in a warehouse in Roni's house in RT 05/RW 11 Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta, at around 10.27 WIB.

The cause of the fire was because the son of the owner of the house was playing matches in the warehouse, resulting in a bridge in the warehouse measuring 2x3 meters. There were no casualties in the incident, but the loss was estimated at IDR 50 million.
