JAKARTA - Several areas of Jakarta were inundated due to rain with moderate to heavy intensity on Friday (24/11) night.

"The inundation occurred in four RTs or 0.013 percent of the 30,772 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Isnawa Aji, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 24.

In West Jakarta, standing water as high as 30-70 centimeters submerged two RTs in South Sukabumi Village. The puddle was due to high rainfall and overflowing Pesanggrahan River.

In South Jakarta, a total of two RTs in Kuningan Barat Village were submerged in water as high as 50-60 centimeters, which was also caused by high rainfall and overflowing Pesanggrahan River.

Jalan Ciledug Raya Seskoal, Kelurahan Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama District was also flooded but now it has receded.

Isnawa said the DKI Jakarta BPBD mobilized personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Water Resources Service, Highways Office, and Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that the water lines function properly.

"The puddle is targeted to recede in a short time," said Isnawa.

Isnawa also appealed to the public to be careful and alert to inundation. If you experience an emergency, immediately call the phone number 112. The service is free and operates 24 hours.
