Ganjar Criticizes Law Enforcement In Jokowi Era, PSI Considers It To Be A Spur For Better Improvement

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PSI DPP Dedek Prayudi said that the slanted assessment of presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo regarding the performance of President Jokowi's government in the field of law enforcement was used as a spur for better improvements in the future.

"In line with Mr. Kaesang Pangarep's statement regarding Mr. Ganjar's assessment of law enforcement, human rights, eradicating corruption and democracy which is currently considered to be experiencing setbacks, this will certainly be an encouragement and input for President Jokowi," said Dedek in a written statement, Sunday 19 November, as reported by Antara.

The spokesperson for the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) then prayed that President Jokowi and the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud Md would always be healthy so that they could respond to Ganjar's criticism with performance.

"Furthermore, we pray that Mr. Jokowi as President and Prof Mahfud MD as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia will continue to be healthy so that they can answer Mr. Ganjar's criticism with better work so that assessments of law enforcement, human rights, eradicating corruption and democracy can be better," said the young politician who is familiarly called Uki.

Previously, PSI General Chair Kaesang Pangarep said that presidential candidate number three Ganjar Pranowo's critics regarding law enforcement in President Jokowi's era could be a spur.

"I think this could be a spur for the government to be even better in the future in terms of the law that Mr. Ganjar meant," said Kaesang when met on the sidelines of his political safari in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Sunday 19 November.

He said that Ganjar's assessment could be used as a lesson for the government, because he considered that the government in the Jokowi era was not influenced by feelings or excitement at work.

"In my opinion, yes, the current government is not bothered," added Jokowi's youngest son.

Presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo gave the government a score of 5 out of a maximum score of 10 in terms of law enforcement, human rights, eradicating corruption and democracy.

This assessment was expressed by Ganjar in a dialogue forum at the National Workshop of the Alumni Family Association of Makassar State University (UNM), Saturday 18 November.
