TNI Commander Takziah To Family Of 4 Indonesian Air Force Officers Victims Of Airplane Crash

TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono met the families of four Indonesian Air Force soldiers who died in the crash incident at the foot of Mount Bromo, Keduwung Village, Puspo District, Pasuruan, East Java (East Java).

Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) First Marshal R. Agung Sasongkojati said the TNI Commander expressed his deep condolences for the incident.

"TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono visited his wife to visit the homes of the four best soldiers of the Indonesian Air Force," Agung said in Malang, East Java, Sunday, November 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

Agung explained that during the visit on Sunday 19 November, the TNI Commander was accompanied by Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo.

Previously, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto also met the families of the victims of the crash of two EMB-314 Super Tucano tactical fighter aircraft and killed four Indonesian Air Force soldiers.

Prabowo expressed his deep sorrow for the incident that killed the four Indonesian Air Force soldiers.

Prabowo said that in the crash of two Super Tucano fighter aircraft that caused the death of four people was a risk that was often faced by members of the Indonesian National Army (TNI).

"It is a risk. Indeed, the defense is full of risks. The exercise must be realistic, even though it contains good dangers on land, sea, air, mountains, forests, swamps. That is the risk of our soldiers," he said.

Two EMB-314 tactical fighter aircraft Super Tucano TNI AU crashed in Pasuruan Regency, East Java, Thursday, November 16 afternoon at approximately 12.00 WIB. The two aircraft had registration numbers TT-3111 and TT-3103 which were conducting routine training sessions.

The plane took off at 10.51 WIB and lost contact at 11.18 WIB. Two planes lost contact after maneuvering formations and penetrating the clouds. Initial estimates, the crash of the fighter was due to bad weather.

In that incident, there were four victims who died, namely the First Marshal of the TNI (posthumous) Subhan, the First Marshal of the TNI (posthumous) Widiono Hadiwijaya, the Aviation Colonel (posthumous) Sandhra Gunawan, and the Aviation Lt. Col. (posthumous) Yuda A. Seta.
