Tornadoes Damaged Houses To TNI Dormitory Bener Meriah

A tornado hit the Wih Pesam District, Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh. The disaster damaged dozens of houses and TNI dormitories in the area.

"A total of 15 houses were damaged in the natural disaster incident. On average, the houses suffered damage to the roof," said Kasdim 0119/BM Major Inf M Indra Syahputra quoting Antara.

Although dozens of houses were damaged, said Indra, there were no casualties in the accident.

"The impact of the tornado caused dozens of roofs to be damaged and one power pole collapsed," he said.

Kasdim said that as many as 15 houses were damaged by the tornado, consisting of eight houses and seven houses in the TNI Kodim 0119/BM dormitory.

"Strong winds accompanied by heavy rain flushed this area at around 16.05 WIB, thus making the roof of the house from a steel frame fly," he said.

From this incident, he continued, the loss was estimated at hundreds of millions of rupiah. Currently, his party has established a post around the Kodim dormitory complex.

"We are also coordinating with PLN and BPBD Bener Meriah for post-disaster handling," said Indra.

He mentioned that the eight houses affected by the tornado belonged to Kasiran (38), Agussalim (35), Aida Fitri (48), Shinta (40), Trimo (55), Lukman (58), Saiful Bahri (40), and Indra Prinato (25).

Meanwhile, the seven houses in the Kodim 0119/BM dormitory that were damaged by the tornado were occupied by Letda Inf Muslim, Kopda Hendra, Kopda Khairil, Serka Nasril, Serka Torang, Sertu Andi, and Praka Alpin.
