Corruption Of Palu RAPBD Ketok Money, 6 Defendants Of Former Jambi DPRD Members Sued 4-4.9 Years In Prison

The six former members of the Jambi DPRD who were accused of corruption in the 2017-2018 RAPBD were charged with 4 to 4.9 years in prison. They are Nasri Umar, Abdul Salam Haji Daud, Djamaluddin, Muhammad Isroni, Muali and Hasan Ibrahim.

The six were charged with more than four years in prison for being proven guilty of bribery and corruption in the money for the Jambi Province RAPBD hammer.

"Asking the panel of judges to sentence Nasri Umar to four years and four months in prison, Abdul Salam Haji Daud four years and nine months, Djamaluddin, Muhammad Isroni, Muali and Hasan Ibrahim, they were all sentenced to the same sentence as four years and four months in prison with each Rp250 million in cash," said Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Amir Nurdianto at the Jambi Corruption Court, Wednesday, November 15, confiscated by Antara.

The prosecutor also explained that the defendant Abdul Salam Haji Daud was charged with being heavier than the other five defendants. That's because the person concerned has not returned the state loss amounting to Rp300 million.

In his demands, the prosecutor also asked the panel of judges led by Urasima Situngkir to consider that the six defendants be deprived of their political rights for five years.

After listening to the prosecutor's demands, the defendants' attorneys asked the panel of judges for time to prepare a memorandum of objection or defense.

After the trial agenda for reading the demands by the KPK prosecutor, the trial will continue on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
