JAKARTA - The United States Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) has again collaborated to carry out the Artemis mission. The new partner who participated was Bulgaria.

On Thursday, November 9, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson met with Milena Stoycheva's Minister of Innovation and Growth at NASA Headquarters. Both signed the Artemis Agreement.

With the passing of this agreement, Bulgaria officially became the 32nd country to support the Moon's exploration mission. NASA welcomes Bulgaria's support and says that the country will benefit from the Artemis mission.

The global partnership established in the Artemis era will create possibilities that benefit members of the Artemis Generation in our country and around the world. Bulgaria's leadership will help ensure humanity's journey to the Moon and beyond is carried out peacefully, safely, and transparently," Nelson said.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria, who took part in the Artemis mission, felt that NASA's exploration could bring about change. The reason is, NASA continues to prioritize advanced technology in carrying out its entire mission.

"We believe that pushing the boundaries of human search in space with the support of AI and advanced technology will ensure peaceful and sustainable coexistence on Earth," Stoycheva said.

The Artemis Agreement is the official agreement between countries in exploring the Moon. All participating partners are not only waiting for the results of the exploration, but also guiding exploration during the mission.

Not long ago, NASA met with representatives of the Netherlands and made the country the 31st partner. The two filled out the Artemis Agreement earlier this month, on November 2.

Although so far there have been 32 countries and space agencies that have joined as permanent partners on the Artemis mission, NASA is trying to attract more partners in the future until the official lunar exploration mission is held.
