Volunteer Gibran Dies As A Result Of Cipali Toll Accident

SOLO - One of the supporters and volunteers for the vice presidential candidate from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Gibran Rakabuming Raka named Imron Supomo reportedly died due to an accident on the Cipali Toll Road, Subang, West Java, Saturday.

Based on information obtained by Antara in the field, the accident that claimed the volunteer Boy Gibran Nusantara who is also a PPP legislative candidate occurred at around 11.25 WIB.

The accident occurred on Cipali Toll Road KM 112 Line A bound for Cikopo to Palimanan, Subang, West Java. At that time, this 42-year-old man was riding a Freed minibus with number B 1572 TMP.

The vehicle crashed into the back of a box truck with number B 9259 SYN running from the same direction. The victim is known to have died at the scene, while the driver was reportedly rushed to the hospital.

Until now, the victim's body is still in a hospital in Subang and is in the process of returning to the funeral home in Ngringo, Jaten, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java.

Chairman of the Surakarta PSI DPC Antonius Yogo Prabowo recalled that the late Imron was a friendly figure. He admitted that he knew Imron because he was both active as a volunteer for Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"I met him several times at Mas Gibran volunteers. He is very active," he said.

Meanwhile, Imron Supomo was originally scheduled to take part in the 2024 Legislative Election for the Surakarta City DPRD. Imron, who is a PPP cadre, will advance through the Electoral Area (dapil) Jebres, Solo, Central Java.
