He said that the presence of the former GAM Prime Minister was only a form of respect for Martti Ahtisaari who had contributed to the peace of GAM with the Indonesian government.
"The presence of Wali Nanggroe at Martti Ahtisari's funeral is a form of respect for his services in Aceh's peace efforts," he said.
In addition to Indonesian figures, the funeral of the peaceful mediator was also attended by President Namibia Hege Geingob and Dutch Diplomat Pieter Feith as former Aceh Monitoring Mission (AMM) who are currently representatives of the European Union in Kosovo.
