The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the value of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procurement project at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) reached Rp3.03 trillion. Investigators have named several people as suspects. "Currently, the KPK is finalizing the process of investigating cases of alleged corruption of abuse of authority, causing losses to state finances in the procurement of COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment. With a project value of Rp3.03 trillion for 5 million PPE sets," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, November 10. From the provisional calculation, the value of state losses caused in the corruption case reached hundreds of billions. However, this has not been clearly stated. "The alleged temporary state loss so far is thought to have reached hundreds of billions of rupiah and is very likely to develop," he said. Apart from the investigation process, Ali suspected that there was an act of corruption against PPE. Because, it happened during the COVID-19 pandemic where all health workers really needed it. "We certainly regret that the large disbursement of funds from the government for the protection of the safety and health of citizens in dealing with the pandemic is actually misused through corrupt practices like this," said Ali. Previously, it was reported that the KPK had named a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) for the period 2020-2022 or during the COVID-19 pandemic. The number is more than one person.

However, the KPK has not yet conveyed the identities of the suspects. "There are several people, I think more than one has been named a suspect," said Ali.
