JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) awarded the title of national hero to six figures from various regions, on the commemoration of Heroes' Day 2023 at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday, November 10.

Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 115/TK/2023 concerning the Awarding of the National Hero Title, the six figures who were given the title of national hero are:

1. The late Ida Dewa Agung Jambe from Bali2. The late Bataha Santiago from North Sulawesi3. The late Mohammad Tabrani Soerjowitjirto from East Java4. The late Ratu Kalinyamat from Central Java5. The late KH Abdul Chalim from West Java6. The late KH Ahmad Hanafiah from Lampung

The award ceremony was attended by the heirs of the figures who also represented the recipients of the title and award.

President Jokowi then congratulated the heirs who received the title of national hero.
