JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, believes that the pair of candidates for president and vice president Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka will excel in Jakarta during the 2024 election. "This is a very important city, a very important province. Prabowo and Gibran, we are very confident, will absolutely win in Jakarta," he said after the KIM Jakarta Party Gathering in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, November 5. Currently, based on an internal survey, he said Prabowo-Gibran is superior to other presidential and vice presidential pairs, especially in the East Jakarta area. Even though Anies Baswedan had served as governor of DKI Jakarta, the Gerindra Party did not hesitate to win Prabowo-Gibran in the capital city "Because he is supported by Gerindra, Anies can be governor, so we know the keys. He is indeed one of the nation's best sons, but we are not afraid, we can beat Pak Anies and Pak Ganjar in Jakarta," he said. To win Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election in Jakarta, the management of nine parties that are members of KIM, consisting of Gerindra, Golkar, Democratic Party, PAN, PSI, Crescent Star Party, Gelora Party, Garuda Party, and Prima Party met in Jakarta. The Ganjar-Mahfud pair is promoted and supported by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the United Development Party (PPP), the Indonesian Unity Party (Perindo), and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura).

Meanwhile, the Prabowo-Gibran pair was promoted and supported by the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), the Golkar Party (Golkar), the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Democratic Party, the Crescent Star Party (PBB), the Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora), the Indonesian Republican Guard Party (Garuda), and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), as well as the People's Fair and Prosperous Party (Prima) who did not qualify to participate in the 2024 General Election. The General Elections Commission (KPU) has determined that the election campaign period will take place from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024, while the voting is scheduled to be held on 14 February 2024.
