JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, attended the Palestinian Defense Action which was held at Monas, Central Jakarta, Sunday, November 5 morning. In front of the protesters, Puan strongly condemned the atrocities of Israeli military aggression that had killed more than 9 thousand people. "I stand here as chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives condemning and conveying my firm stance against the atrocities of the Israeli military aggression that have bombarded residential areas, hospitals, schools, houses of worship such as mosques, churches and others. As well as other forms of injustice to the people and the Palestinian people," said Puan in front of the Palestinian Defense Action mass. Puan emphasized that her arrival at the Palestinian Defense Action was a form of resistance against injustice by Israel against the Palestinian people. Puan emphasized that Indonesia will continue to consistently support and fight for Palestinian independence. "I am here at the invitation of Mr. Din Syamsuddin, because I can feel that what has been done and happened in Palestine is unacceptable to all of us," "The Indonesian nation since the era of Bung Karno, the first president until now, has consistently remained firm in supporting Palestinian independence," said Puan. Puan was seen wearing a Palestinian flag scarf and black hat. The event which was held at Monas, Central Jakarta was also attended by 1.5 million mass actions from all over Indonesia.
