PT KCIC Ensures Halim High Speed Train Station Runs Normal

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) ensures that the service area of Fast Train Stationction Halim, Jakarta, runs normally and functions well even though it rains quite high on Saturday night around the station.

"A number of images circulating on social media showing the condition of the inner station ceiling had a leak not at the Halim Fast Train Station location," said KCIC Corporate Secretary GM Eva Chairunisa as quoted by Antara, Sunday.

Eva said, in connection with the high intensity of rain that occurred yesterday, there was news on a number of social media that needed clarification.

Another visual that describes the overflow of water on the side of the stairs, is not inside the station but in the outer lobby area of the arrival of the south side.

The water spill comes from waterways that are unable to withstand the water discharge due to the very high intensity of rain.

This condition also does not interfere with services because there are other areas that passengers can pass to the lobby drop off area and pick up.

According to him, the entire passenger flow continues to run normally without problems, as well as the operations of thectional High Speed Train were not affected by the incident.

As a quick step, at the time of the incident, KCIC had coordinated directly with WIKA as a contractor for the construction of the Fast Train Station to immediately investigate and repair the affected areas for the convenience of passengers.

"The Wika Konstruksi has also begun to repair the waterways on the outside side of the station which were affected by heavy rains yesterday and is expected to be completed in the near future," he said.

Eva said KCIC apologizes if any inconvenience occurs due to heavy rains around the Halim Station area.

The construction of the Halim Fast Train station roof is carried out during the dry season, so that water channel testing cannot be carried out during high water discharge due to high rainfall intensity.

KCIC together with contractors will also comb and identify other points across stations to anticipate similar incidents.

"KCIC together with WIKA have communicated and coordinated and moved quickly so that the services and facilities provided to optimal passengers," he said.
