PM Anwar Ibrahim Launches Anwar Triumphs Book In Kuala Lumpur

JAKARTA - Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim launched a book entitled 'Anwar Triumphs' which tells the story of his joy and sorrow from the student's time to the present.

Anwar in a tweet on social media X on Sunday said the script was the latest work of Australian criminal lawyer Mark Trowell, who also mapped episodes of political betrayal in the country's history and the reform era, as well as the dramatic fall of the Pakatan Harapan coalition.

In addition, according to him, the book, which was launched at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center and attended by political friends and other guests, also recounted the political upheaval that occurred as a result of the greed of certain parties.

"Hopefully the facts and chapters in this book can be studied and discussed properly and healthily," Anwar said as quoted by Antara.

The peak of the narrative, he added, was the 15th General Election (PRU15) on November 19, 2022, which was considered historic because the parliamentary situation depended on several days, and then there was its inauguration as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia.

According to the author, Trowell, the book is not only aimed at telling the story of Anwar's success as a prime minister, but also giving an overview of the full journey of the'reform movement'.

The book records the history of what actually happened, contemporary and not something written after years later as memory became increasingly blurred and events became increasingly forgotten.

At the launch of the book, Anwar was also accompanied by his wife, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
