JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate (Readpres) Anies Baswedan said that if it gains the trust of the people of Depok, West Java can be held during the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) contestation.

He made this statement when giving a speech at healthy gymnastics and morning walks at GDC Depok, West Java, Saturday, October 28.

It started when Anies spoke about the tough challenges he faced.

Especially, regarding the results of survey institutions that recorded the electability of the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair at the lowest.

"We know the challenges are big. But optimism never goes down, if the numbers are said to be low let it be on paper, on our roads we are full of the spirit of change," said Anies.

After that, then Anies said that West Java's voice could be in the hands if the couple known as AMIN received the trust of Depok residents.

This is because the presidential reading carried by the coalition of changes assesses that Depok has a big influence.

"If Depok we get the trust of the citizens, God willing, West Java will be in our hands. Because Depok has an extraordinary effect," he said.

"Ready to reach neighbors, ready to reach the community. Go to the back 40 houses, front, right left," continued Anies.

Previously, Anies had also mentioned the political practice of nepotism. He said he would not allow nepotism to continue to live and develop in Indonesia.

"We want not to nepotism live in this country anymore? Do you want to be nepotism in life like before? We move because we want to restore expertise in the state, restore ethics in the state," he said.

According to him, Indonesia does not only belong to one family but belongs to all citizens of the nation.

So, he said, the practice of nepotism should not be revived in the country.

"This country does not belong to one or two families. The founders found this republic not for his family, but for all Indonesian people," said Anies.
