Last Friday the Israeli army expanded its air and ground attacks in the Gaza Strip, which have been hit by non-stop airstrikes since the cross-border attack carried out by Hamas.

The conflict spread dramatically after the Hamas military wing launched an unprecedented attack into Israeli territory on October 7 by firing thousands of rockets and deploying hundreds of its fighters into Israeli cities.

Israel retaliated with relentless air and artillery attacks on the Gaza Strip. The Israeli government announced that it was preparing ground attacks to eradicate Hamas.

More than 8,700 people have died in the conflict, including at least 7,326 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis.

As many as 2.3 million Gazans are grappling with the lack of food, water, and medicine due to massive air bombardments and a total Israeli blockade.
