Kaesang Ready To Bring Gibran Campaign In NTT Jokowi's Voice Base

Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep expressed his readiness to bring Gibran Rakabuming Raka to campaign in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

"God willing, as soon as possible, I have conveyed it to the vice presidential candidate (Gibran, ed) to be able to come to NTT," he said during a political safari in Kupang City, NTT, reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 27.

Kaesang during a conversation with residents confirmed that he was not Gibran Rakabuming. If Kaesang said he was the General Chair of PSI, while Gibran was the vice presidential candidate carried by PSI.

"A week earlier, someone called me Mas Gibran, I objected, because I am different from him. Now, it doesn't matter, because there is a coalition," he explained.

PSI is one of the nine political parties that will nominate presidential and vice presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 General Election. The other eight parties are Gerindra, Golkar, PAN, Democrats, PBB, Gelora, Garuda and Prima.

Gibran Rakabuming is the eldest son of President Jokowi, while Kaesang Pangarep is Jokowi's youngest son.

It is known, in the 2019 election, the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair won 2,368,982 votes or 88.57 percent in NTT, away from the Prabowo-Sandi pair of 305,587 votes or 11.43 percent.

In the 2024 election, President Jokowi has completed leadership for the second period. Gibran Rakabuming as the eldest son, tried to run as a candidate for president, Prabowo Subianto.

Previously, Asnat Lay, who is also the Head of the Posyandu Kenari Cadre, Naikoten I Village, Kupang City, stated that Gibran Rakabuming was a figure who was considered capable of continuing President Jokowi's program.

"Good seeds will produce good results. In the last three years, Mr. Jokowi has received a lot of attention," he said.
