AMBON - Investigators of the Satreskrim Polres Maluku Barat Daya (MBD) delegated four suspects in the alleged corruption case of village funds and the allocation of village funds to the public prosecutor (JPU) of the Ambon District Attorney's Office (Kejari).

The four suspects are EKM alias Ever (secretary), PDJ alias Pait (a treasurer), HFA alias Eto (a former treasurer), and AA alias Amus (a leader in village shopping).

"Today we carried out phase two of the MBD Prosecutor's Office which took place at the Maluku Kejari office in Ambon," said MBD Police Chief AKBP Pulung Wietno as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 25.

The four suspects were involved in a case of alleged corruption in the misuse of village funds and the allocation of Watuwei village funds, Dawelor-Dawera District, MBD Regency in 2016 and 2017.

Prior to phase II, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the MBD Police, Iptu Boyke Nanulaitta, together with Unit IV personnel, first conducted research on the evidence submitted, then examined the health and research of each suspect and signed the minutes of handover of the suspect and evidence.

"Phase two is carried out after the case files of the suspects are declared complete (P21) by the prosecutor," he explained.

Previously, these four suspects were suspected of colluding with the modus operandi of increasing the price of goods.

They are suspected of spending goods that are not in accordance with their designation, making fictitious memorandums of spending and receipts, and making accountability reports that are not in accordance with the actions of the suspects. So that it is detrimental to the state worth Rp761,558,800.
