Prabowo Subianto Calls Gibran's Decision To Choose 'Jokowi' Rakabuming Round And Consensus 8 Political Parties

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto said the decision to elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a candidate for vice president in the 2024 General Election was unanimous and based on the consensus of political parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). "This is an academic, unanimous and consensus decision and we are ready to advance for an advanced Indonesia," said Prabowo. On Wednesday, October 25, Prabowo and Gibran along with KIM will register with the General Elections Commission (KPU). So far, only two presidential readings and vice presidents have registered with the KPU, namely the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD. Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto has finally officially announced his prospective deputy candidate in the 2024 General Election. A total of eight political parties who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) have agreed to carry Gibran Rakabuming as a candidate for vice president. "Good evening, brothers and sisters. Recently, the Forward Indonesia Coalition consisting of 8 political parties, namely Golkar, PAN, Democrats, Gerindra, Gelora, PBB, Garuda and the top which was attended by the respective chairman and the secretary general respectively we have finished in a consensus final, all agreed to carry Prabowo Subianto as KIM's presidential candidate for 2024-2029 and brother Gibran Rakabuming Raka as KIM's vice presidential candidate," said Prabowo in Kertanegara, Jakarta, Sunday, October 22.
