TPA Rawa Cat Still Fires, BPNB Plans To Deploy Water Boombing Helicopters

TANGERANG - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) will deploy water bombing helicopters or water bombs to extinguish fires at the Rawa Cat TPA, Tangerang.

This method will be carried out to speed up the process of extinguishing the Rawa Cat TPA because the red rooster has not yet been tamed today, Sunday, October 22.

"The information is being prepared," said BNPB Public Relations Officer Danung Arifin in a short message, Sunday, October 22.

However, when the water bombing helicopter will be deployed, it is still not known for sure. Danung admitted that he would communicate first with the Head of the Disaster Information and Communication Data Center, Abdul Muhari.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the AirNav Indonesia Nursing, Hermana Soegijantoro, assessed the importance of accelerating the handling of fires at the Rawa Cat TPA. The reason for the smoke from the fire interfered with flights in the Soekarno Hatta Airport area.

"We have also coordinated with the scenario of the operation of water bombing helicopter flights by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) to maintain flight safety while at the same time supporting efforts to deal with fires carried out by BNPB," he said.

Previously, the Tangerang City Government had also asked BNPB for assistance to deploy water bombing helicopters to extinguish the fire that began at the Rawa Cat TPA on Friday, October 20.

"Yes, we are coordinating with Basarnas and BNPB (National Disaster Management Agency) to be able to deploy helicopters to conduct water bombings," said Deputy Mayor of Tangerang, Sahrudin.
