KPU Affirms No Distinguishing Ganjar-Mahfud Health Test Process With Anies-Cak Imin

Chairman of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari emphasized that there is no difference in the mechanism for health checks for presidential and vice presidential candidates undertaken by Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) and Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD.

Anies-Cak Imin conducted a medical examination at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital on Saturday, October 21. Meanwhile, Ganjar-Cak Imin underwent an examination today.

"Like yesterday, the first day of health checks, the duration is more or less the same, the substation to be examined is also the same, the method to be used to check is also the same, and the team of examining doctors is also the same," said Hasyim at Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Central Jakarta, Sunday, October 22.

The head of the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Albertus Budi Sulistya, explained that the medical examinations of Ganjar and Mahfud today involved 50 doctors with various special backgrounds, as well as two psychologists.

"So there are a team of doctors from the RSPAD, a team of doctors from the representatives of each polydium and BNN, as well as the Indonesian psychology set," said Budi.

The examination time is about 8 to 10 hours. After that, the team of doctors will hold a plenary session to assess the results of the health examination of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

Ganjar and Mahfud arrived at RSPAD at around 07.00 WIB, using a different but side car. Ganjar wore a white collared T-shirt, while Mahfud wore a long-sleeved batik.

Arriving at the RSPAD, the presidential and vice-presidential candidates will immediately go inside to change clothes used in undergoing medical examinations.

Ganjar admitted that at first he wanted to run early from his residence in the Patra Kuningan area, South Jakarta to Gatot Subroto Army Hospital. However, this was canceled because it was prohibited by a team of doctors.

"(Batal ran from house to hospital) said doctors are not advised to exercise," said Ganjar at his residence before leaving for Gatot Subroto Army Hospital.

Meanwhile, Mahfud MD admitted that he was coughing when he was about to undergo a medical examination at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital today. Even so, Mahfud felt that his condition was still healthy.

This was conveyed by Mahfud before leaving for Gatot Subroto Army Hospital from his residence on Jalan Denpasar Raya, Kuningan, South Jakarta. "I coughed a bit because of the frequent speech for the last three days. I'm in good health," said Mahfud.
