Secretary General Of PAN Affirms KIM Solid Decides Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the DPP PANEddy Soeparno dismissed the issue of division in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), because until now the combination of political parties that carry the presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto has not yet decided on a candidate for vice president.

"Alhamdulillah, I can clarify that relations between political parties within KIM are solid, good, active, productive communication," said Eddy, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 20.

Eddy said there were no internal dynamics or attracting interests among the KIM members consisting of the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, Democratic Party, and the National Mandate Party (PAN).

"So there is no such thing as beatings, there is no such thing as attracting interests, there is no such thing as internal dynamics, it doesn't exist at all, even rumors that one or two of the coalition members will then leave, nothing," he said.

All general chairmen of the POLKIM, said Eddy, have agreed to sit down together and then decide who will be vice presidential candidates who will accompany Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 election contestation.

"We are working everything, all out to win Mr. Prabowo along with his vice presidential candidate," said Eddy.

Eddy said the meeting between the general chairmen of the political parties that carried out President Prabowo's reading was delayed because PAN General Chair Zulkifli Hasan had to accompany President Joko Widodo in carrying out state duties to China and Saudi Arabia.

"Alhamdulillah, he (Zulkifli Hasan) just landed in Jakarta and I think soon after this there will be certainty when the meeting of the ketums will be held," he said.

He emphasized that the agenda of the meeting related to the discussion regarding the determination of Prabowo's assistant vice president's reading will be held in the near future. According to him, the meeting with the party elites which will be chaired directly by Prabowo, is also to discuss technical matters such as determining the time of the declaration to registration.

"The last one (registered to the KPU), if in the last game it's the gong. Well, what is clear is that the last one who registered for Pak Prabowo is the gong later," said Eddy.

Previously, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar became the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair who officially registered with the KPU on the first day of registration, Jakarta, Thursday (19/10) morning.

Then, the presidential and vice presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD will follow as the second pair to register as candidates for the 2024 presidential election on the first day of registration, Thursday (19/10) afternoon.
