JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with the Prime Minister (PM) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud at the Al-Yamah Palace, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The President was officially welcomed by the Saudi Arabian Prime Minister in the front yard of the Al-Yamah Palace and then walked together to the stage of honor, according to a statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19. The departure of the President to the previous palace was accompanied by the Minister of Trade of Saudi Arabia Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi.

The procession for President Jokowi's welcoming at the Al-Yamah Palace was continued with the national anthem of the two countries being played.

After that, President Jokowi and the Saudi Arabian PM held a bilateral meeting in the meeting room, Al-Yamah Palace. After the bilateral meeting was over, President Jokowi then attended a banquet by the Saudi Arabian Prime Minister.

This series of meetings ended with the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding (MoU) between the Indonesian government and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia witnessed by President Jokowi and the PM of Saudi Arabia. The cooperation signed is the formation of the Highest Coordination Council between the Republic of Indonesia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, technical cooperation between the National Standardization Agency (BSN) and the Organization of Standards, Metrology, and Quality of Saudi Arabia, cooperation in the fields of youth and sports and cooperation to guarantee halal products.
