JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) officially registered as presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election at the office of the General Election Commission (KPU) RI. When submitting the registration file, Anies viewed his steps in this contestation as a big mission for himself and the coalition of supporting parties. "This is a big mission that we hold. I think all those who work here also feel a big mission. Hopefully we will be given convenience in carrying out this big mandate," said Anies at the KPU RI office, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 19. Anies hopes that he and Cak Imin will continue to fulfill the provisions in carrying out the stages of the 2024 General Election. He also hopes that this political contestation will run in an orderly and fair manner, so that they get credible results. Furthermore, Anies also expressed his appreciation to all officers involved in carrying out the electoral process, both in terms of fulfilling logistics and security. "Maybe they are not in the air-conditioned spaces, but they work to ensure that the presidential election process runs well before all of them start. Arriving at the KPU office, Anies and Cak Imin were unable to enter. The reason is that the tuh spilled supporters filled the Imam Bonjol Road section, Central Jakarta. After the registration documents for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates are submitted, the KPU will check the completeness and verification of the files. The verification stage of the requirements for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates will be carried out until November 13, 2023. Furthermore, the KPU will determine the pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates who have registered on November 13, 2023, followed by the determination of the candidate pair serial number on November 14, 2023.
