Arriving At The KPU List Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates, Anies: The Spirit Is Extraordinary

JAKARTA - The pair for presidential and vice presidential candidates Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) arrived at the office of the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) to register for the 2024 presidential election.

Anies and Cak Imin arrived at the KPU at around 09.30 WIB. They were escorted by a white Land Rover with the words "AMIN" on the hood of the car.

Arriving at the KPU office, Anies and Cak Imin were prevented from being able to enter. The reason is that the supporters spilled palm wine to fill the Jalan Imam Bonjol section, Central Jakarta. There was an announcement heard through a loudspeaker asking Anies-Cak Imin volunteers to give way.

Anies-Cak Imin and the group of the Change Coalition party entered the KPU office at around 09.47 WIB. Shortly before entering the building to register, Anies admitted that he was enthusiastic after seeing the euphoria of his supporters.

"His spirit is extraordinary," said Anies at the KPU office, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 19.

When they arrived at the KPU office, they were greeted by hundreds of supporters in front of the KPU building on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Some were praying, the Barongsai performance, the Ponorogo reog, and shouted 'Amen'.

The two were escorted by the General Chairperson of NasDem Surya Paloh who was accompanied by their respective party elites. It appears that the Secretary General of NasDem Hermawi Taslim, Deputy General Chairperson of NasDem Ahmad Ali and Chairman of the NasDem DPP Willy Aditya.

Then the Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid, Hanif Dharmakiri, and Ida Fauziah were present. Then, PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu, PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi, Deputy Chairman of the Syuro Council Hidayat Nur Wahid, Chairman of the PKS DPP Mardani Ali Sera.

Previously, the Amin pair had already taken the roadshow from their respective residences to the PKB DPP office, PKS DPP and NasDem DPP. Originally, Anies-Imin was scheduled to register with the KPU at 08.00 WIB.

The two of them just headed to the KPU after listening to a special speech from the General Chairperson of NasDem Surya Paloh. Surya Paloh said Anies was the best figure from the good to lead Indonesia.
