Polda Kaltara Prepares 1,745 Security Personnel For The 2024 Election

TARAKAN - North Kalimantan Police (Kaltara) held a simulation of the City Security System (Sispamkota) as a security measure for the 2024 General Election.

Kaltara Police Chief lrjen Daniel Adityajaya said the Sispamkota exercise was carried out in order to maximize the preparation of security personnel from the joint task force (task force) of the Kaltara Police, Korem 092/Maharajalila and relevant stakeholders.

"In this election, the National Police has a very strategic role because the Police carry out their main duties which directly come into contact with security objects to maintain a conducive security and public order situation (kamtibmas) during the process of implementing the 2024 election stages," said the Kaltara Police Chief, Tuesday, October 17.

Daniel emphasized that the conducive situation and condition of the social security and social order are the main requirements in holding the 2024 election.

"One of the important efforts to improve the ability and professionalism of Kaltara Police personnel is to increase knowledge, skills and readiness in dealing with various situations and conditions in the future," he added.

Daniel said, if the 2024 election does not run smoothly, it can have an impact on the hindering of government activities that affect all aspects of life of the nation and state.

"Various potential vulnerabilities can occur at every stage of the election in the form of violations of election crimes, including general crimes, so that this must be managed and handled predictively, professionally and transparently and accountably," he said.
