JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has launched a Bank Account Management Information System (siMerak) in the context of transforming regional treasury services in DKI Jakarta.

This system is managed by the DKI Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) by cooperating with the DKI Bank Regional Development Bank (BPD).

During its launch, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that the transformation of regional treasury services was a collaboration that must continue for the sake of transparent and accountable financial management.

"Let's make optimal use of the novelty in regional treasury services to improve the quality of the financial management system within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and become an example for other government agencies," said Heru, Tuesday, October 17.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD), Michael Rolandi Cesna Brata, explained that the SiMerak application functions for account management which includes real-time opening, closing, monitoring of status and balance and calculation of gyro services as well as the proposed online KPA and treasurer determination process.

"The DKI Bank helps us (BPKD DKI Jakarta) to be transparent in the management of bank accounts, treasurers, so that transactions whose terms are not authorized by the SKPD leadership can be tracked down," said Michael.

Meanwhile, the Acting President Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, explained that digitalization is the key to accelerating regional economic growth through innovation of digital-based financial management services, in an effort to achieve an increase in local revenue in a transparent, accountable and efficient manner.

Participation in regional financial management is also realized through the electronicization of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Regional Work Unit (SKPD) budget management, through the Cash Management System (CMS) of Bank DKI.

"So that the SKPD can monitor transaction activities for receiving and spending the budget on accounts easily, in real time and more accurately," he added.
