KSP Announces 98,972 Inpassing Teachers Of The Ministry Of Religion To Be Paid Immediately

JAKARTA The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) announced that the Ministry of Finance will immediately pay allowances for non-ASN madrasa teachers who have received a functional office equalization decree, through adjustments (Inpassing), will soon be paid.

This was conveyed by Deputy II of the Presidential Chief of Staff, Abetnego Tarigan, Saturday, October 14. According to him, the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has prepared a budget of approximately IDR 1.8 trillion, to pay allowances for 98,972 inpassing teachers who have served for a long time. Each teacher will receive IDR 1.4 million per month.

So that the allowance can be disbursed immediately, said Abetnego, the Presidential Staff Office encourages the Minister of Religion to immediately send a letter to the Minister of Finance. The letter, he continued, contains a reference framework and budget details, APIP review report, Inpassing Decree, and details of the calculation of the teacher receiving the visit with a valid number of teachers.

"Thanks to the intense coordination between the Ministry of Religion and KSP, the Ministry of Finance has given the green light for the payment of inpassing teacher allowances. Now it's just a matter of the Minister of Religion writing to the Minister of Finance, including sending an Inpassing Decree," Abetnego explained, in Jakarta, Saturday (14/10).

The Deputy for Human Development of KSP, revealed the involvement of the Presidential Staff Office in solving the financial rights issue of non-ASN teachers from the Ministry of Religion began when KSP received an audience of the National Inpassing Teachers Association (PGIN) on February 2, 2023, and a demonstration of non-ASN madrasah teachers on June 26, 2023. On that occasion, they demanded that they be given equal financial rights to ASN teachers.

As a follow-up, explained Abetnego, KSP held a coordination meeting several times with the Director General of the Ministry of Religion and the Director General of Budget of the Ministry of Finance. As a result, the Ministry of Religion finally issued an Inpassing Decree for 98,972 teachers, and the Ministry of Finance stated that it was ready to allocate the payment of the allowance.

"This inpassing issue has been going on for years. But it's finished in just 5 months. This is a gift from President Jokowi to non-ASN madrasas teachers ahead of teacher's day," said Abetnego.

As previously reported, the Ministry of Religion has issued a functional office equalization decree for 98,972 non-ASN madrasas (inpassing) teachers. This program aims to get non-ASN madrasas teachers to groups such as ASN teachers.

"Giving equality of position and rank (inpassing) is a form of recognition of academic qualifications, tenure, and certificates of non-ASN madrasa teacher educators using credit figures equivalent to ASN teacher functional positions," said the Deputy II of KSP.
