JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, said that he was processing the interim replacement (PAW) of 10 members of the DKI DPRD for the 2019-2024 period. Prasetyo ensured that the tenth replacement of his members was completed in January 2024. "I process (PAW) together. January is complete," said Prasetyo when met on the sidelines of a discussion meeting on the DKI Regional Budget draft for the 2024 budget year at Grand Cempaka, Bogor, West Java, Thursday, October 12. Prasetyo admitted that he had followed up on the letter of application for PAW ten members from their respective parties to be forwarded to the General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province. Furthermore, after the KPU determined a replacement for DPRD members who were PAW based on the choice of the most votes under it, the process was submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri). "I have signed everything, have run to the Minister of Home Affairs, copies to the KPU, is in the process together," he said. For information, the DKI Jakarta DPRD will conduct PAW 10 members of the DKI DPRD for the 2019-2024 period in the near future. Acting Secretary of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Augustinus said the majority of the council members were replaced because they changed parties. "On average, those who resigned changed parties because of their delegation (in the new party)," Augustinus told reporters, Wednesday, October 11. The ten DPRD members who will be PAW are Anthony Winza Prabowo, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, Idris Ahmad, and Viani Limardi from the PSI faction; Cinta Mega and Steven Setiabudi Musa from PDIP. Then, Abdul Ghoni and Adi Kurnia from the Gerindra faction; and Muhayar RM and Yusriah Dzinnun from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) faction. Some of the members of the DKI DPRD who will move parties include Anggara and Idris who join PAN, Viani to the Gerindra Party, Cinta Mega to PAN, Abdul Ghoni to the NasDem Party, Adi Kurnia to the Democratic Party, and Yusriah to NasDem. Meanwhile, Anthony will continue his studies abroad. Then, Steven and Muhayar will be replaced because they died some time ago. Furthermore, Augustinus said that the inauguration of the PAW which inaugurated the members of the DKI DPRD to replace the ten people was carried out in stages in accordance with the completion of the PAW administration stage. "Of these 10, there have been (PAW's decision letter) that goes first. We set the right schedule for when. We don't have to have tens at the same time. If we wait for everything, it will take a long time. Those who have left their decrees, we will immediately process them," said Augustinus. The PAW stage referred to by Augustinus was initially the party leadership council, each of which sent a letter of application for PAW to the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, to be forwarded to the General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province.

The DKI KPU then determined a candidate to replace PAW based on the order of most votes in one electoral district under the DPRD member to be replaced. The determination was sent back to the DPRD to be forwarded to the Governor and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Then, the Ministry of Home Affairs determined a decree (SK) that ratified PAW and continued with the inauguration of a replacement DKI DPRD Member to complete the 2019-2024 period.
