PSI Leaks The Direction Of Support For Presidential Candidates,LOCKs Two Names

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Dedek Prayudi, leaked the direction of his party's support for presidential candidates (candidates) who will compete in the 2024 presidential election. There are two names being considered by PSI, namely Ganjar Pranowo and Prabowo Subianto.

Dedek initially emphasized that PSI would not be in a hurry to decide on the support of the presidential candidate. Moreover, PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep is still doing political safaris to establish friendship between political parties, as well as absorbing aspirations from within.

Dedek said that currently PSI has not yet made an official stance regarding support. However, he said, every PSI cadre was released to decide for themselves their political support.

"I want to support Ganjar Pranowo or Prabowo, go ahead. I myself support Mas Ganjar and Ketum PSI, Bro Kaesang also know," said Dedek. "But later, that's when the DPP issues its political decisions, we hope that all party administrators and cadres can comply with whatever the decision is and not get carried away by emotions," he added. Dedek then leaked three criteria for President Jokowi's successor. First, it has an ideological closeness to PSI, namely anti-corruption and intolerance. Second, psychological aspects. "Yes, we will look at the comfort when interacting, communicating in building coalitions later. Third, his commitment is to continue the development agenda that has been carried out by President Jokowi," he explained.

Previously, PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep did not want to reveal who his party supported in the 2024 presidential election. However, in the midst of the PSI issue of supporting Ganjar Pranowo or Prabowo Subianto, Kaesang even mentioned the name Anies Baswedan, who is the presidential reading of the Change Coalition.
