For The Sake Of Being Free Of Mosquitoes Ahead Of MotoGP 2023, The Health Office Is Infiltration In Mandalika

NTB - The Central Lombok District Health Office (Dinkes) conducted an infiltration for the sterilization of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) ahead of the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit on October 13-15, 2023.

"The 'Fogging' (infiltration) was carried out in the hope that the Mandalika SEZ area was free from mosquitoes that caused dengue (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever)," said Head of the Central Lombok Health Office, Suardi in Praya, NTB, Wednesday, October 11, quoted by Antara.

He said the infiltration was at several points, both in the buffer village area and the Mandalika Circuit circle.

"This means that all areas in the Mandalika SEZ have been sterile or free from dengue fever," he said.

Even though his party has implemented it, Suardi also hopes that the community together maintains cleanliness and environmental health, so that tourists who come can feel safe and comfortable.

"We hope that the community can also maintain environmental cleanliness for all of our health," he said.

To anticipate the increase in dengue cases in Central Lombok, his party has appealed to all levels to increase educational efforts to the community through eradicating mosquito nests (PSN).

"DHF is caused by dengue virus, transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti and Aedes mosquitoes," he said.

Therefore, he said, to prevent dengue fever, it can be done through draining, closing and reusing used goods to prevent mosquito bites (3M Movement).

"The 3M movement must continue to be carried out to maintain environmental health," he said.

Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit will host the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 events on October 13-15, 2023 after previously hosting a similar event in 2022.

All the logistics of the riders and crew have arrived at the Mandalika Circuit and the riders have also arrived in Lombok after they previously had a race at the Japanese Circuit.
