JAKARTA - Semarang Police Chief, Kombes Irwan Anwar revealed the reasons behind his closeness to the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri and former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL. It was stated that he was close to Firli Bahuri while serving at the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police in 2017. At that time, the KPK chairman served as the regional police chief. "Pak Firli used to be my direct supervisor when I served as general criminal director at the West Nusa Tenggara NTB Regional Police about 2017," he said. As for SYL, Irwan said the former Minister of Agriculture was his uncle. So, have a close relationship. "Then the Minister of Agriculture is my uncle, I happened to be brothers and my in-laws," he said. On the other hand, Irwan also agreed to accompany SYL to meet Firli Bahuri.
